About Us

Restoring Ministry is dedicated to the care and spiritual support of those who are incarcerated in Texas prisons. We are a federally recognized 501.C3. This means that your donations are tax deductible.

Prisoners behind walls and razor wire have been hidden and, perhaps, forgotten by man. Now there is hope for these forgotten people. Restoring Ministry provides hours of ministry, bible study and worship experiences for those imprisoned.  We believe these men and women have a significant part to fulfill in end-time redemption.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prisons to them that are bound”.  (Isaiah 61:1)

C.V. Prison Choir 2-21-2015Our goal is to reach into the Texas State prisons and touch the broken hearted, to bring hope and help to lighten the burdens of those incarcerated, and bring the lost soul to the light of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Paul wrote from a prison, to Timothy, “Be not ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His Prisoner.” (2Timothy 1:8). Paul was God’s prisoner in prison, for a purpose. He goes on to say,”The Word of God is not bound by these prison walls!” (2 Timothy 2:9)

Jeff and Dolores McDonald has done over eighteen years of ministry starting first in the Carol Vance Unit in Richmond Texas. This husband and wife team organizes volunteers who join them in each month to bring inspiration to the prisons.
